CHICAGO — It took nearly an hour just to pick out the T-shirts. There were scores, maybe hundreds, in the closet, in dresser drawers.
Three last Grateful Dead shows and a mountain of shirts to choose from.
It would have been nice to wear the 15th anniversary shirt from 1980 or the Long, Strange Trip shirt from 1981. But they seem to have shrunk in the last 35 years. Or…
In the end, six shirts accompanied me here. I’ll decide later.
